90 pts. Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar: Jul/Aug 2010
Bright red. Extremely perfumed, fruity aromas of ripe red cherry, redcurrant, raspberry jam and violet. Quite bright and high in acidity but nicely balanced, with pretty red fruit flavors dominating. Finishes long and quite pure, with just a trace of warmth. Truly excellent Chianti, especially in view of its low price.

The 2007 Chianti offers up ripe dark fruit, flowers and sweet spices in a medium-bodied style, with excellent density and dusty tannins that round out the finish. The estate’s Chianti is 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo and Colorino, aged in cask. It is an excellent value. Anticipated maturity: 2009–2012.
