Standing Stone’s entry level Riesling offers a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. The nose is a bit shy, with its quiet tones of white peach, wet stone and flowers, and the palate is straightforward and cheerful. A soft swish of sugar coats the midpalate, which is lifted by the present, but not overpowering, acidity. Finish is moderate in length. 15 grams per liter residual sugar.

This delivers fresh peach and yellow apple fruit flavors, with a flicker of honeysuckle on the finish. Relies more on a friendly, modestly juicy feel than rapier acidity. Drink now. 1,790 cases made.
