Critical Acclaim

WE89 Wine Enthusiast 12/1/2019

"Aromas evoking honeydew, yellow peach and hawthorn form the nose. On the tangy palate, fresh acidity lifts ripe apricot, green apple and a hint of almond alongside bright acidity." (89 pts.)

JS91 JamesSuckling.com Thursday, November 7, 2019

"A pretty, zesty Gavi that suggests lemon peel and green apples. Medium-bodied and nicely taut with a burst of acidity and minerality on the finish. Drink now." (91 pts.)

SP88 Wine Spectator Web only – 2019

"The rich peach, melon and apple flavors are tempered by sage and grapefruit peel notes. Balanced and fresh, with moderate length. Drink now. 25,000 cases made, 1,000 cases imported." (88 pts.)

Piedmont

Piedmont, a wine region on the edge of the Italian Alps in northwest Italy, produces two of Italy's most famous red wines, Barolo and Barbaresco. Both of these wines are made from the Nebbiolo grape, though there are other notable grapes used in the region such as Barbera, Dolcetto, and Moscato and Arneis on the white wine side. Vermouth also hails from Piedmont.

Italy

Italy is famous for its powerful, sleek, and elegant reds wines from ancient growing areas with legendary names such as Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco, Montepulciano. Italian white wines are also gaining popularity: Orvieto, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon are excellent examples of Italian white wines.

Wines of Italy are complex and flavorful, much like the culture that is their source and the cuisine that is their match.
