"A polished and refined red with plum, blackberry and spice. Full-bodied, yet toned and muscular. Flavorful and long. Polished with tension. Has brightness to it. Mostly cabernet sauvignon with merlot, petite verdot, syrah, and zinfandel. Drink or hold." (92 pts.)

RP90 Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate 30th Dec 2015

"The 2013 Emblem Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Merlot, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. It sells at a very modest $35.00. The wine has a deep ruby/purple color, loads of juicy fruit, a medium to full body (about 14.7% natural alcohol), a lush, heady, accessible mouthfeel. This is a steal, and a sleeper of the vintage, and capable of lasting up to a decade or more." (90 pts.)

WE90 Wine Enthusiast 2/1/2017

"This wine includes 8% Petite Sirah and smaller amounts of Petit Verdot, Syrah, Zinfandel and Merlot, fleshing out a rich, full-bodied embrace of chewy tannin and extracted blackberry and brick tar. Let it hang in the glass awhile and swirl a time or two to get it to speak." (90 pts.)

California

When it comes to US wine production, California is King. California wines account for almost 90% of all wines produced in the United States each year, and is home to the most celebrated vineyards and producers in the country. California is probably best known for its world-famous Cabernets and Chardonnays, many of which hail from its two most-acclaimed AVAs, Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Other prominent grapes used in California wines include Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, and Zinfandel (which California made popular).

United States

The United States now ranks fourth in the world in wine production behind, France, Italy, and Spain. While about 90% of that wine is produced in California, other states like Oregon, New York, and Washington are establishing themselves as prime spots for wine production, as well. Just about any variety of wine can be found in production somewhere in the United States.
