  1. Cliff Lede Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Cliff Lede Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon

    2012 / 750 ml. | Item#40995

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Oct 2014
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is a beauty, showing all the generosity of the 2012 vintage. Composed of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec and 3% Merlot, its dense purple color is followed by copious aromas of crème de cassis and spring flowers, supple tannins, and an opulent, fleshy style. A total intellectual and hedonistic turn-on, it is loaded with fruit and complexity, and reveals beautiful harmony among all the component parts. It is a terrific introduction to what Cliff Lede has achieved at such a high quality level. Consume it over the next 10–15 years.
    SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2015
Strikes a balance between elegance and finesse, with a mixed core of dark berry, savory herb, cedar, crushed rock and tobacco flavors. Firmly tannic on the finish, ending with a burst of black licorice. Drink now through 2026. 5,776 cases made.
    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2014
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is a gorgeous, ripe, flashy Napa Valley Cabernet loaded with exuberant fruit and plenty of near-term appeal. Dark red and black fruit, cloves, menthol, tobacco, licorice and new leather all flesh out in this supple, radiant Cabernet Sauvignon to drink now and over the next handful of years. This is a great introduction to the Lede house style.
    WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 6/1/2015
Generous tannins surround a core of ripe, brawny blackberry fruit and a powerful imprint of dried herb in this wine, which is rich and concentrated. Earthy tobacco and chocolate seal the finish.

    2012 / 750 ml. | Item#41489

    RP95+95+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 27th Aug 2015
There are roughly 200 cases of the sensational 2012 Fenix. A blend of 69% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc and the balance Petit Verdot, it reveals a Bordeaux-like perfume of black cherries, plums, tobacco leaf, leather and damp soil. Full-bodied, supple and more elegant than powerful, it still has terrific density and length on the palate, with ample sweet tannin. I’d happily drink it today, but savvy readers would ideally give it 2-4 years of bottle age and drink bottles through 2032.
    VN9494 pts. - Vinous - Aug 2015
The 2012 Fenix, Jonata’s Merlot-based red has turned out beautifully. Explosive and full-bodied, the 2012 hits the palate with serious intensity. Dark cherry, plum, wild flowers, spices and savory herbs are laced into the finish. The Fenix appears to have put on considerable weight over the last year, some of which is attributable to the addition of press wines, which have given the wine more backbone. The Fenix was aged in French oak barrels, 80% new.

    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#35911

    SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2017
Shows a measure of finesse and restraint given the size, which is big and expressive, offering notes of plum, blackberry, baking spices and cedary oak. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Best from 2020 through 2032. 20,000 cases made.
    WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 4/1/2018
This flagship bottling is still a whopper of a wine. This vintage, a blend of 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 12% Merlot, offers barely ripe black cherry, green peppercorn and charred fennel on the nose. The palate is loaded with both savory and ripe flavors, from roasted black plums and charred beef to oregano and dill. Very complex and chalky in texture.

  6. Round Pond Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
    Round Pond Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

    2013 / 750 ml. | Item#40642

    RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2015
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford, a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec, is a beauty. It’s also realistically priced by Napa standards. The wine reveals toasty oak, blackberry and cassis fruit, beautiful texture, purity and length. This is a big-time winner and should drink well for 12–15 years.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Oct 2015
Round Pond’s 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is fabulous. Aromatic, pliant and expressive, the 2013 is incredibly nuanced for such a young wine. Sweet red plum, wild flowers, mint and cinnamon meld together in a medium-bodied, gracious Cabernet that will drink well with minimal cellaring.
    WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 8/1/2016
Tangy red fruit sits atop leathery texture in this dark, brooding wine, blended with 13% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec. Violets and blueberries play on the palate while integrated oak and tannin lend body and power to the proceedings. The finish is smoky.
    SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 15, 2016
A solid, chunky expression of extracted black licorice and dark berry flavors, with toasty, charry oak dominating. Best from 2017 through 2025. 7,200 cases made.
