    2009 / 750 ml. | Item#37824

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 26th Feb 2014
The 2009 Brunello di Montalcino is an impressive and impeccable wine that delivers a slow and sensual progression on the palate. Along the way, it leaves a steady stream of ripe fruit, spice, tobacco, licorice and balsam herb that is both impactful and vibrant. The wine’s aromas are very well-delineated, clean and never color outside the lines. The textural fabric of the wine is velvety and rich, thanks to a long 43 months in oak. Having had the opportunity to taste many older vintages of Giacomo’s wines, I find that they possess a great capacity for cellar aging. Drink: 2016–2026.

Really striking aromatics. Unmistakable passion fruit and lime citrus with subtle grassy and herbal complexity. The bold, flamboyant fruit is what takes center stage here. There’s a fleshy, succulent feel to the palate. Acidity keeps it vibrant and the flavors hold fresh and lively. As appealing as ever. Drink now.

Hess Collection Mount Veeder / Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

    2012 / 750 ml. | Item#14811

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2015
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Mount Veeder (80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Malbec) was one of the top wines presented to me. This wine needs another 4–5 years of cellaring and could keep 30 years. A beautiful nose of white flowers, graphite, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, along with the telltale cassis and tobacco leaf are all present in this wine, which offers great intensity and full-bodied power in a well-delineated and moderately structured style. Give the wine some time and watch it unfold. Anticipated maturity: 2020–2025+. For the quality, it is a reasonably priced wine, and there are 7,480 cases.
    WE9393 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 9/1/2015
With 20% Malbec, this wine is layered in refined complexity, swaying from juicy blueberry to herbaceous cherry and currant. Restrained in oak, with the slightest notion of vanilla on the palate, it finishes in mouthwatering dark chocolate — the tannins firm and structured.
    SP8989 pts. - Wine Spectator - May 31, 2015
Shows a measure of restraint and a taut minerality, allowing the ripe, expressive fruit to glow amid a pleasant mix of cedar, loamy earth and cigar box. Ends with chewy tannins that turn gritty. Drink now through 2030. 7,480 cases made.

    2010 / 750 ml. | Item#40530

    JS9393 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, January 19, 2015
This is incredibly rich and delicious at the same time with dried fruits, chocolate, nuts and even citrus fruits. Full-bodied and in harmony. Drink or hold.
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 30, 2015
A dense, rich and concentrated version, boasting plum, cherry, vanilla and meaty flavors. Powerful and long, if a bit burly on the finish for now. Needs time to absorb the oak. Best from 2018 through 2032. 2,000 cases imported.

    2012 / 750 ml. | Item#36403

    JS9090 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Friday, June 10, 2016
A concentrated Napa cab with a nose reminiscent of figs and plumbs with terra-cotta. Dense and concentrated with slightly dry tannins and lots of dark fruit character. Drink now or hold.
    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2014
Dark red cherries, mint, mocha, spices and leather flesh out in the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from Priest Ranch. The style is rich, dark and enveloping, with tons of depth and compelling balance at this level. This supple, inviting Cabernet is an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years. There is plenty to like, including the price.
    RP8989 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Oct 2014
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon comes in at barely above the alcohol of this winery’s Sauvignon Blanc at 14.9% alcohol. It’s their generic cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon that is delicious, supple, round, not profound by any means, but has loads of cigar-tobacco infused red and black currant fruit, spice box, licorice and foresty notes. It’s medium to full-bodied and best drunk over the next decade.

Still a bit reticent, but with a structured core of cedar and dusty oak-laced currant and dark berry flavors. Touches of dried herb and sage lead to a tannic finish, but this will only get better with time. Drink now through 2026. 18,210 cases made.

Stags’ Leap Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#56497

    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2016
The serious wines start with the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and a cross-county blend. Deep, dense purple-colored, with notes of creosote, earth, forest floor and plenty of cassis fruit, this wine is rich, medium-bodied, and ideal for drinking over the next 10–15 years.
    WS8989 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2017
Supple black-cherry flavors fill this foursquare Napa Valley red. It’s plush and gentle up front, then the sweet fruit meets a harder edge of tannins, needing time in a decanter or a year or two in the cellar to mellow.
