"The 2012 Anvil Chardonnay is 100% Chardonnay, whole-berry pressed and raised in 228-liter French oak barrels. The nose is open and inviting with subtle brioche and hazelnut scents infusing the citrus fruit that is well-defined. The palate is well-balanced, quite understated on the entry, with precise acidity and a conservative, easy-going honeycomb-tinged finish that just slips down the throat without making too much fuss. Very fine." (91 pts.)
