On the southern slopes of the Entre-deux-Mers, this vineyard surrounds a grand 19th-century chateau. This organic wine offers rich tannins and powerful black fruits. Its structure will soften and the wine will be ready from 2021.

Château Noaillac

Cru Bourgeois Supérieur
2019 / 750 ml.

Item #: 56849

JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, February 20, 2022
Sweet berries and plums with some rose-petal and stem undertones. Full-bodied with round tannins and delicious fruit, with a light vanilla undertone at the end. Drink after 2023.
VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2022
The 2019 Noaillac retains the superb bouquet from barrel, featuring blackberry and bilberry fruit, ripe and generous, while maintaining fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. Classic in style, and a little fleshier than before, with black pepper and cedar on the finish. An excellent Noaillac. (Neal Martin)

Château Poitevin Médoc

Cru Bourgeois Supérieur
2019 / 750 ml.

Item #: 34921

VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Feb 2022
The 2019 Poitevin has a perfumed, floral bouquet with more red fruit than I observed from barrel, showing fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very cohesive and harmonious. There’s just a touch of graphite on the finish. Stylish, top-notch Poitevin. (Neal Martin)
RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2022
The 2019 Poitevin is performing better than it did when I tasted it earlier this year, when I suspect it was still shut down after bottling. Opening in the glass with attractive aromas of orange zest, sweet red berries, petals and spices, it’s medium-bodied, lively and elegant, with lovely purity of fruit and nicely integrated structure. (William Kelley)
JS8989 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, February 20, 2022
Ripe blackberries, crushed raspberries, dried thyme and mocha on the nose. Medium body with lightly chewy tannins. Firm and compact with savory tea-leaf character. Drink from 2023.

Château Talmont Bordeaux

2020 / 750 ml.

Item #: 57344

JS90+90–91 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, June 2, 2022
A nicely polished and relatively soft red with ripe tannins and purple fruit. It’s medium-bodied. Fresh at the end. Nicely done.
JD87+87–89 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 6/4/2021
The 2020 Château Talmont is another solid Bordeaux offering medium to full-bodied richness as well as impressive cassis and black raspberry fruits intermixed with hints of flowers, violets, and graphite. It has some grippy tannins, but I like the overall balance as well as the length on the finish. (Jeb Dunnuck)
VN86+86–88 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2021
The 2020 Talmont offers good up-front intensity in its jammy dark fruit, chocolate and dried herbs. There is good depth and persistence, but hard tannins and slight vegetal undertones are a bit distracting today. (Antonio Galloni)

Château Bréhat

Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux
2016 / 750 ml.

Item #: 58477

JS9191 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Sunday, February 3, 2019
There’s a strong and assertive feel to this Castillon with abundant red plums and berries, delivering freshness and verve on the palate. Juicy, powdery tannins. A blend of 70 per cent merlot, 15 per cent cabernet franc and 15 per cent cabernet sauvignon. Try from 2020.
JD9191 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 2/28/2019
The Merlot-dominated 2016 Château Brehat comes from the limestone soils of the Côtes Castillon region of Bordeaux, located east of Saint Emilion. It has a pretty, perfumed style in its black raspberry and cassis fruits as well as some obvious minerality and floral notes, medium body, fine tannins, and beautiful purity of fruit. With notable balance, integrated structure, and a great finish, it’s another rocking 2016 to drink over the coming 10–12 years. (Jeb Dunnuck)
WE8888 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 2/1/2019
The rich black fruits in this wine from property in the Monteil family since the 15th century are full of promise. Dark tannins, spice and licorice balance the fruitiness, suggesting aging potential. Drink from 2021. (Roger Voss)

With a good balance between Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this blend is poised and stylish. Juicy black fruits have structure and some aging potential from tannins in the background. Drink this wine from 2021. (Roger Voss)
