Brewer-Clifton Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay

2021 / 750 ml.

Item #: 49315

JD9696 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 8/30/2023
Ripe orchard fruits, buttered lemon, crushed stone, and salty, marine-influence notes all emerge from the 2021 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills, a concentrated, medium to full-bodied Chardonnay with a liquid rock-like sense of minerality, beautiful mid-palate density, and a great finish. You should never underestimate these appellation releases from Greg Brewer. This is an insane value in top Chardonnay from California. (Jeb Dunnuck)
SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jul 31, 2023
There’s terrific focus and intensity to the bright citrus flavors at the core of this white, with yuzu, ruby grapefruit, Meyer lemon and lime zest notes, plus plenty of salty, minerally accents that add a mouthwatering minerality, followed by hints of lemon basil that linger on the finish. Drink now. 5,600 cases made. (MaryAnn Worobiec)
VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Sep 2023
The 2021 Chardonnay (Sta. Rita Hills) is a fabulous introduction to this range and the year. Citrus peel, white flowers, mint and chalk all grace this delicate, understated Chardonnay. The appellation Chardonnay is terrific in 2021. (Antonio Galloni)

Spicy nose with some black beans, cherry compote and grilled Mediterranean herbs and spice. Fleshy and supple, with lovely cherry-pie character on the palate, rounded by fresh, juicy tannins. Not a lot of depth here, but it’s vibrant and lively. A blend of garnacha, tempranillo and graciano. Drink now. (James Suckling)

VN8888 pts. - Vinous - Oct 2022
An earthy mix of musky black cherry, splinters of pine and hints of flowery undergrowth waft up from the 2020 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Casanova. It’s silky with a balanced inner sweetness and polished red and hints of blue berry fruits. This leaves a sour tug of tension while finishing with a resonance of violette candies. (Eric Guido)

BIRA Rosso d’Uco

2022 / 750 ml.

Item #: 61439

JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, April 4, 2023
Notes of spiced cherries and red plums with hints of cocoa, walnuts and dried herbs. Fresh and juicy with a medium body and vivid acidity. Tannins are soft and polished with a firm, red-fruited finish. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)
VN9191 pts. - Vinous - Sep 2023
The 2022 Rosso D’Uco is a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Syrah and 10% Merlot from the Uco Valley and was 40% aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels. Ruby-red with a garnet sheen. The nose presents sour cherry, dried flower, delicate herb, undergrowth and rose petal aromas. The tart, light palate has a silky flow and refined tannins, making this a distinctive red. (Joaquín Hidalgo)
SP9090 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 14, 2024
An elegant, approachable and polished red, with floral thyme and fresh clay undertones to the juicy and well-spiced flavors of red currant and maraschino cherry that linger nicely on the finish around smooth tannins.
