Tarima Hill

2018 / 750 ml.

Item #: 40325

VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Mar 2021
Opaque ruby. Spice-accented dark berries, mocha, cola and pungent flowers on the highly perfumed nose. Appealingly sweet black and blue fruit and floral pastille flavors become livelier and pick up a hint of vanilla in the air. The blue fruit and floral notes recur on an impressively long, penetrating finish that features subtly gripping tannins and a hint of exotic spices. (Josh Raynolds)

Carlos Serres Reserva

2014 / 750 ml.

Item #: 46812

RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Oct 2020
The classical, sleek and polished 2014 Reserva was produced with a blend of Tempranillo with 10% Graciano from their El Estanque estate vineyards. The grapes fermented separately and matured in French and American oak barrels for 18 months. The nose has it all — the ripe berries, the forest floor, the sweet spices, the balsamic incense and cigar ash — all in harmony and integration. The palate is medium-bodied with resolved tannins and good balance, lively and tasty, almost salty. Great price too. 118,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in 2018.

Dark ruby. Oak-spiced cherry and cassis on the nose and palate, along with hints of licorice and mocha. In a lush, open-knit style, showing good depth and a hint of jamminess on the gently tannic finish. Aged for two years in a combination of French and American oak barrels.

Luis Pérez El Muelle de Olaso

2017 / 750 ml.

Item #: 50812

RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Jun 2019
I tasted the second year produced of the 2017 El Muelle de Olaso, a new unfortified white from Palomino from the Corregidor estate. The fermentation was 75% in stainless steel and 25% in sherry casks, and the part of the wine in casks aged for six months under a veil of flor yeast. I was really impressed and found an attractive nose with notes of moss and river stones completely unusual for a Palomino. 2017 was a very dry year, and the harvest was extremely early, especially to be able to keep some acidity in the wines. You might think I’m crazy, but in a way, it made me think of a Ribeiro. The palate is very mineral, with a stony sensation. It finishes dry, long and very tasty. Very surprising! (Luis Gutiérrez)

Dark ruby to the eye, this wine has aromas of black cherry, vanilla and violet. Flavors of cassis, cherry, salted caramel and rosemary are set into a web of gentle tannins that fade into a soft, floral finish. (Mike Desimone)
