  1. Red Electric Interurban Pinot Noir

    2016 / 750 ml. | Item#53269

    VN9090 pts. - Vinous - Jun 2019
Glimmering red. Spice-accented red fruit and rose oil on the nose, along with notes of white pepper, allspice and musky earth. Juicy and focused in the mouth, offering bitter cherry and red berry flavors with a touch of medicinal bitterness. Turns sweeter with air and shows very good energy on the persistent finish, which is firmed by dusty, fine-grained tannins that fold smoothly into the wine’s fruit.

  2. Volpaia Chianti Classico

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#49459

    JS9393 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, October 27, 2020
A racy, fine-tuned Chianti Classico with blackberry, black-cherry and wet-earth aromas. Medium-bodied with medium polished tannins and a long finish. Transparent. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
    VN9292 pts. - Vinous - Sep 2020
The 2018 Chianti Classico is a gorgeous, mid-weight wine that captures the essence of the estate’s high-altitude vineyards. Freshly cut flowers, sweet red berries, licorice, mint, pine and cedar are some of the many aromas and flavors that are woven throughout. The 2018 is gracious, inviting and impeccable in its balance.
    WS9191 pts. - Wine & Spirits - 04/21
Sangiovese (with ten percent merlot) from Volpaia’s vineyards in the high hills of Radda gave a juicy and energetic wine in 2018, its ample acidity freshening the bright cherry flavors. The wine fleshes out with exposure to air, gaining hints of orange zest and subtle spices.
    RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 11th Mar 2021
This is a delightfully open and accessible value red that could pair with a simple chicken dinner. From an organic farm, the Volpaia 2018 Chianti Classico is a smooth, silky and fruit-driven expression that delivers on the basic promises of elegance and freshness that are associated specifically with Sangiovese from Radda in Chianti.

  3. La Colline aux Fossiles Chardonnay

    2019 / 750 ml. | Item#54519

    JD9494 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - 3/22/2021
All Chardonnay brought up in used demi-muids, the 2019 La Colline Aux Fossiles sports a medium gold hue to go with terrific stone fruits, caramelized citrus, white flowers, and honeysuckle-like aroma and flavors as well as a beautiful sense of minerality that emerges with time in the glass. Medium to full-bodied and beautifully textured, with a layered mouthfeel and a great finish, it’s another knockout Chardonnay from the team of Eric Solomon and Jean-Marc Lafage.

  6. Basilisco

    Aglianico del Vulture
    2011 / 750 ml. | Item#51637

    RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Apr 2015
The 2011 Aglianico del Vulture Basilisco is from the hottest vintage among the three wines (2009, 2010 and 2011) I tasted in this mini-vertical. In many ways, this is the most immediate and successful of the three wines thanks to the fact that the ripe fruit adds softness and fleshiness to counter the natural astringency of the Aglianico grape. Generous spice, tobacco and blackberry fruit are woven together with a thick and penetrating texture. Sweet tobacco appears on the close and signals that this wine is only at the beginning of a long evolution.
    JS9090 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, October 22, 2018
This red shows aromas of tar, dark berries and wet earth that follow through to a full body, juicy and ripe fruit and a firm tannin structure. Pretty wine that needs drinking now.

  7. Ercavio Tempranillo Viñas de Meseta

    2017 / 750 ml. | Item#20841

    RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 10th Sep 2021
I’m glad to see the old Ercavio Roble renamed as the 2017 Ercavio Tempranillo Viñas de Meseta, as the wine is more about the grapes and place than the short aging in oak. I also found it unusually subtle and elegant, floral and spicy, with complex aromas and a velvety palate with some spiciness, very fine tannins and great balance. It’s super drinkable, and I think in 2017 it overdelivers big time. Amazing bargain! 130,000 bottles.

Lemon blossom, Asian pear, lime sherbet and candied orange peel notes are pure, fragrant and juicy in this silky white, with intensity and a lift of freshness on the finish from an accent of lemon verbena. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 98,000 cases made.

  9. Yannick Alléno & Michel Chapoutier Côtes du Rhône

    2018 / 750 ml. | Item#52771

    VN90+90–91 pts. - Vinous - May 2020
Lively cherry and raspberry scents are complemented by suggestions of baking spices, lavender and white pepper. Smooth, focused and appealingly sweet, offering spice-laced red and blue fruit and floral pastille flavors that tighten up slightly on the back half. A zesty mineral note appears on the red-fruit-dominated finish, which is framed by supple, even tannins.
    JD90+90–92 pts. - Jeb Dunnuck - August 16, 2019
From vines throughout the region and a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah brought up all in concrete, the 2018 Côtes Du Rhône comes from a collaboration between Michel Chapoutier and 3-star Michel Chef Yannick Alleno. It has a perfumed bouquet of ripe black cherries, blackberries, garrigue, and chocolate. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Côtes Du Rhône that has a distinct saltiness, beautiful fruit, and a great finish. It seems to always over-deliver.
    RP89+89–91 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Aug 2019
The 2018 Cotes du Rhone is a 70-30 blend of Grenache and Syrah, all matured in tank. It shows appealing blueberry and cherry fruit, even a hint of apricot or peach. Ripe and supple, it’s medium to full-bodied, with a long, silky finish. Nicely done.
