Staff Picks: Kevin McFadden | WineTransit.com

Manager and Wine Associate, Premium Wine & Spirits

Itinerant experimental musician, (very) amateur chef, and friend to wiener dogs – Kevin McFadden settled in the Buffalo area in 2003 and, after a few trips to the Finger Lakes, developed an ardent (or one might say geek-ish) zeal for wine. He still loves to visit local wineries and advocate for the best Vinifera wines of New York and Ontario, though European wines have now captured a larger part of his imagination, or at least his cellar. As a lover or travel, Kevin is enthralled by wine’s potential to reflect the spirit, personality, or even soul of its place of origin.

Plump and just a touch heady in feel, with sweet peach and yellow apple fruit backed by a hint of golden raisin. The warm buttered brioche finish is ever so slightly coarse in feel. Drink now. 1,400 cases made, 400 cases imported. (James Molesworth)
