Bright peach and lemon-lime aromas are pleasant if a bit synthetic and yeasty. Racy acidity on the palate works in harmony with the gentle sweetness. Drink with spicy southeast Asian fare or after dinner for a tasty palate cleanser. (Christina Pickard)

Struck by tangs of lime and lemon, this light-footed yet supple dry white offers mouthwatering pear and apple flavors with a stony, mineral finish. A silky, textured wine best enjoyed young. (Anna Lee C. Iijima)

RP9393 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 25th Aug 2022
The 2020 Bernkasteler Badstube Kabinett offers an aromatic bouquet of fully ripe fruit and crushed stones. Round and mouth-filling on the palate, this is a hedonistic Kabinett with very fine, mineral acidity. Just a dessert on its own. 8% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 26 21 in July 2022. (Stephan Reinhardt)
JS9393 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Thursday, November 10, 2022
Bright nose of apples, white peaches and spring flowers with a touch of blackcurrant. Ripe, yet very sleek and straight, this is barely off-dry, thanks to the very crisp acidity at the super-refreshing finish. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)

RP90+90+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 25th Aug 2022
Picked at 76° Oechsle, the 2021 Mülheimer Sonnenlay Riesling Kabinett Feinherb is intense and lemon-fresh on the nose that shows pure and flinty fruit. Lush but clear and filigreed on the palate, with fine, crystalline and playful slate acidity, this is a remarkable, substantial and charmingly textured but frisky Sonnenlay Kabinett made in the medium-dry/sweet style. Bottled with 25 grams per liter of residual sugar and 9.5% alcohol, this is an excellent wine to have with food, particularly in 5–10 years. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022. (Stephan Reinhardt)

The vibes on the nose are faint but pervasive nonetheless in tones of citrus essence and crushed conifer needle. The palate then expands into ripe Mirabelle fruit which we get to see through that citric, conifer prism. This has wonderful depth which for now is dressed in fruit, but the essential stoniness will shine through with age. Drink 2030–2050. (Anne Krebiehl MW)
RP9494 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 16th Dec 2021
Like the Steinmassel vinified in stainless steel, the 2019 Ried Heiligenstein 1ÖTW Kamptal Riesling was bottled in late June 2020. The wine opens with herbal, minty notes of bright yet finely concentrated and even dried fruits. Full-bodied and enormously concentrated yet still very tight on the palate, this is an ambitious and grippy Heiligenstein that needs some years or a lot of aeration to sing. 12.5% alcohol. Tasted at Schloss Gobelsburg in June 2021. (Stephan Reinhardt)

Lime and pear on the nose of the 2020 Riesling Trocken take on delightful piquancy and tang of zest and skin on a buoyant palate, complemented by juicy honeydew melon, leading to a finish of clarity, refreshment, and mouthwatering salinity. This year’s overachieving version of this generic bottling favors relatively late pickings in both the Niedermenniger Herrenberg and Sonnenberg. (David Schildknecht)

Glenora Dry Riesling

2022 / 750 ml.

WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2024
Heady florals, citrus and white peach aromas are edged in ginger. Zingy, tangy acidity leads in the mouth, those citrus and ginger flavors carrying to a long, lemony finish. Bone-dry and still youthful, this should evolve nicely over the next several years. (Christina Pickard)
SP8989 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 31, 2023
Fresh, with a honeysuckle note gilding light pear and yellow apple fruit flavors. The flavors let up just a touch through the finish, but this is solid enough. Drink now through 2025. 850 cases made. (James Molesworth)

Cave Spring Riesling

2019 / 750 ml.

WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 10/1/2021
Searingly tart, but fragrant with a touch of petrol, this punches through with crisp apple fruit, a hint of honeycomb and plenty of lemony acidity. Despite the low listed alcohol, it finishes dry, with just enough residual sugar to round off the biting acidity. (Paul Gregutt)

From marble and calcareous soils on west-facing terraces in a coolish side valley, the 2020 Ried Steinriegl Riesling Federspiel opens coolish, clear and chalky on the very elegant and refined nose. Medium-bodied, refined and lemon-fresh on the palate, this is a round, refined and salty, highly stimulating but also complex Federspiel with great terroir expression. Highly stimulating. A fantastic, distinctive wine! 14% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in June 2021. (Stephan Reinhardt)
