Composed of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot from the estate’s Howell Mountain holdings and vineyards in Oakville, Rutherford and Mt. Veeder, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Téres (around 1,400 cases produced) possesses amazing purity as well as dense blueberry and blackberry fruit intermixed with acacia flowers, new oak, graphite and a haunting floral note. Full-bodied, opulent and majestic, it should drink well for 15–20 years.

    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#45496

    RP93+93+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 28th Oct 2016
The 2014 Proprietary Red Amulet, a blend of the four main Bordeaux varietals – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot – is an extremely well-made wine with lush, low-acid blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, sweet well-integrated tannin, full body and voluptuous texture. The wine is typical of most top 2014s in its approachability and deliciousness. Drink it over the next 12–15 years.

  4. Antinori Solaia
    Antinori Solaia

    2009 / 750 ml. | Item#35062

    RP96+96+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Jun 2012
The 2009 Solaia is one of the clear standouts of the vintage. Freshly cut flowers, raspberries, spices, mint and licorice burst from the glass as this fabulous, viscerally thrilling wine shows off its pure class. Today the oak is a bit prominent, but that won’t be an issue by the time the wine is ready to drink. In one of my blind tastings, the 2009 Solaia was flat-out great. There is no shortage of pedigree here. The 2009 has calmed down a little from its youth, when it was a much more exuberant wine, and has now begun to close down in bottle. Solaia is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc from a single parcel within the Antinori family’s Tignanello vineyard. Anticipated maturity: 2019–2029.
    SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Apr 30, 2013
A pretty red, boasting floral, cherry, black currant, chocolate and spice aromas and flavors. The firm structure is assertive now, both acidity and tannins, but the sweet fruit and spice flavors persist and grace the long finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2015 through 2030. 500 cases made.
    ST93+93+ pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Sep/Oct 2012
Deep ruby-red. Pungent, brooding aromas of cassis, blackberry jelly, licorice, clove, bay leaf and violet; very aromatic and very cabernet sauvignon. Dense, highly concentrated and seamless, with good verve thanks to harmonious acidity that lifts the dark fruit and aromatic cedar flavors. Finishes with superripe, fine, toothcoating tannins, a hint of alcoholic warmth and great persistence. A very aromatic, tactile and smooth Solaia, in a slightly warmer style owing to the hot vintage but with a refinement lacking in the Tignanello of the same year; you can tell the grapes come from a select portion of vines within the Tignanello vineyard. This ought to develop splendidly in bottle and has great potential.

  5. Antinori Solaia
    Antinori Solaia

    2013 / 750 ml. | Item#43895

    RP97+97+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2016
The best vintages of Solaia are 1990, 1994, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2007, 2010 and now 2013. Marchesi Antinori’s 2013 Solaia is a profound and meaningful wine that is based mostly on Cabernet Sauvignon with Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc in supporting roles. It sports a dark and thick texture with plump fruit and spice, grilled herb and black pepper. The bouquet is intense and layered with the kind of complexity that is best admired as the wine shifts and evolves in the glass. The textual impact is also impressive — you feel the inherent power and the structure, but these elements are never overdone. The best is yet to come; this Solaia is built for long cellar aging.
    JS9797 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Tuesday, July 19, 2016
Wow. This is a stylish young red with currant, light herb, spice and bark aromas and flavors. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a fresh finish. Balanced and attractive now but better in 2020. A classic as always.
    SP9595 pts. - Wine Spectator - Web only – 2016
Offers weight and presence, with black currant, plum and black cherry aromas and flavors. The structure is vibrant and harmonious. Herb, earth and spice accents complete the profile, accompanied by a lingering, savory finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2018 through 2033. 500 cases imported.
    VN94+94+ pts. - Vinous - Oct 2016
A wine of reserve, polish and class, the 2013 Solaia is striking from start to finish. Subtle and exquisitely layered, the 2013 graces the palate with a host of crème de cassis, blackberry jam, menthol, lavender and violet overtones. This is another tightly wound, reticent 2013 from Antinori that is going to need time to fully unwind. Finesse replaces the exuberant power that is so often found.
    WE9494 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 3/1/2017
This blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc opens with intense aromas of black-skinned fruit, purple flower, oak and exotic spice. The taut, elegant palate offers black currant, black cherry, chopped mint and white pepper alongside bright acidity and polished, fine-grained tannins. It’s still youthfully austere, so give it time to fully develop. Drink 2020–2033.
    WS9393 pts. - Wine & Spirits - April 1, 2017
Antinori’s 2013 Solaia feels poised and balanced. It’s focused on cabernet sauvignon (75 percent of the blend), with flavors of plum and blackberry edged in earthy tones of damp leaves, black tea and tobacco. The wine rested for 18 months in new French oak barriques, gaining notes of vanilla and sweet spice and developing finely polished tannins. The flavors gain energy and expression as the wine sits in the glass, indicating that this has good ageing potential.

  7. Barnett Vineyards Rattlesnake Cabernet Sauvignon
    Barnett Vineyards Rattlesnake Cabernet Sauvignon

    2014 / 750 ml. | Item#44083

    RP95+95+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2016
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Rattlesnake is their reserve wine and has been called this since 1991, no doubt because of the number of rattlesnakes that populated the property. It is usually their greatest wine, when they declare it. They only made 69 cases in 2014, so this is a tough one to find. The color is opaque ruby/purple and the wine has a few extra gears in it, with plenty of blueberry, cassis, forest floor and white flowers, followed by a full-bodied, beautifully built style of wine. This wine goes on and on — it is incredible rich, but with no defects or hard edges. A full-bodied, lush, elegant, yet powerful wine, this is a classic Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 20+ years.
    SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Jun 15, 2017
Distinctive, offering rich blueberry and wild berry notes. The firm, well-integrated tannins let the flavors seep through, leading to an engaging finish that echoes the core fruit. Drink now through 2028. 1,725 cases made.

  8. Beaulieu Vineyard Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Beaulieu Vineyard Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

    2013 / 750 ml. | Item#45570

    JS9797 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, May 22, 2017
Love the aromas of mint, blackcurrants, stones, black licorice and flowers. Full-bodied, dense and tight with layers of very, very fine and velvety tannins and a long and fantastic finish. Wonderful length and texture. A classic. Drink in 2020.
    VN9696 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2016
Ripe, concentrated and intense, with fabulous richness throughout, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Georges de Latour Private Reserve brilliantly melds together elements of both the classic and modern. The flavors are dark and unctuous, but even with the wine’s considerable mid-palate sweetness, the 2013 needs time for the tannins to soften. There is no shortage of potential, but readers will have to be patient.
    RP95+95+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Oct 2015
One of the two flagship cuvées, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve Georges de Latour is a fabulous wine. Obviously, this is the one wine that received the most meticulous attention from their outside consultant Michel Rolland. A great effort in 2013, as one might expect in this vintage, this wine needs 5–6 years and seems capable of lasting 30–40 or more, given the history of the great BV Private Reserves. Inky purple to the rim, with an extraordinary nose of créme de cassis and kirsch, licorice, cedarwood, and a touch of underbrush, the wine hits the palate with a full-bodied, powerful, concentrated, dense style, has great acidity, moderately sweet tannin, and a long, long finish. This wine is young and still slightly unformed, but loaded with potential and upside. Forget it for 5–6 years and drink it over the following half-century
    WE9494 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 5/1/2017
Velvety and plush on the palate, this classic Cabernet offers firm, youthful tannins and full-bodied concentration of dense black fruit. Cedar, dried herb and tobacco scents frame its core, broadcasting a burning intensity and sanguine chewiness. Cellar and enjoy best 2023–2033.
    SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Mar 31, 2017
Impressively elegant and refined, exhibiting a graceful, understated array of harmonious flavors, with currant, anise, cedar and tobacco details amid crushed rock and loamy earth notes. Firms nicely on the finish, where the flavors linger. Drink now through 2030. 6,503 cases made.

    Bellum El Remate

    2005 / 500 ml. | Item#27044

    ST9090 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Sep/Oct 2008
Deep ruby. Cherry and blueberry jam on the nose, with a subtle hint of baking spices. Lush and creamy, offering sweet dark berry liqueur flavors and a velvety texture. A sappy, deeply sweet style that is firmed by gentle minerality, which keeps the luscious fruit in check. This is all about fruit.

Benjamin Leroux Pommard Premier Cru - Rugiens Hauts

    2015 / 750 ml. | Item#46486

    RP91+91–93 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Dec 2016
The 2015 Pommard 1er Cru Les Rugiens, the first release from the lieu-dit Rugien-Hauts, has a more opulent nose than the village cru, one that wants to make an impression on its debut, hints of kirsch filtering through the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, harmonious and focused with a mixture of red and black fruit, very refined and while not structured, offers a very feminine and caressing finish. This is a sublime and assured offering.
