NV / 750 ml.

Item #: 25331

SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2018
A well-balanced Champagne, with a vibrant backbone of acidity and a creamy mousse, this offers spice and tea rose accents to the crushed white cherry, toasty and candied lemon zest flavors. Clean-cut finish. Disgorged October 2017. Drink now through 2020. 2,500 cases made.
ST9090 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2011
Light, bright yellow. Pear, peach and smoky lees on the nose, with complicating notes of anise and iodine. A spicy, gently chewy midweight offering zesty citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a touch of honeysuckle. Shows very good energy and definition on the finish, with the smoke and anise notes echoing.
RP8989 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 23rd Dec 2009
The NV Brut is straightforward and accessible, with lovely depth in its fruit. The wine’s balance and length are both commendable, and the toasty, creamy finish rounds things out nicely. Anticipated maturity: 2009–2012.
VN8989 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2015
Pale gold. Ripe nectarine and yellow plum on the fragrant nose, with a subtle undercurrent of smoky lees. Round and fleshy on the palate, offering spicy orchard and pit fruit flavors, gentle acidity and a hint of sweet butter. In an easygoing, accessible style, finishing with good breadth and cling.

SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2021
A classy rosé that glides across the palate, with flavors of raspberry coulis, yellow peach, chamomile and blanched almond that expand on the creamy mousse and linger on the lightly spiced finish, powered by mouthwatering acidity. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2026.
SP9494 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2022
A gorgeous rosé in a rich, vinous style, this shows a satiny mousse and well-honed acidity, which buoy a detailed range of macerated raspberry fruit, dried apricot, grated ginger, graphite and chopped roasted almond flavors. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2025. (Alison Napjus)
SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2018
This lovely rosé Champagne is harmonious and bright, featuring sleek acidity layered with the lacy mousse and an expressive range of white peach, ripe raspberry and pickled ginger flavors, with hints of smoke and biscuit. Elegant. Drink now through 2023.
WS9393 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2013
This deep pink rosé starts off from a delicate scent of spice and roses, strawberries and the freshly turned earth of a garden. It grows more powerful and grand with air, building fresh raspberry pinot vinosity, a fragrant essence of limestone and fruit that lasts.
WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2020
In the generous style that is Ruinart, the wine is full with red fruits that are mouthfilling and rich. At the same time, there is a crisp streak of mineral texture that cuts through the wine to give a bright aftertaste. Drink this beautifully balanced Champagne now.

RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Nov 2017
The NV Brut La Française is based on 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier, all fermented in stainless steel and blended with 30% of reserve wines. It is a pure, fresh and well-structured Brut that seems more elegant, complex and round than the Brut Réserve. The persistent finish is clear, fresh and well structured, with refreshing lemon flavors and a nice grip. My sample was said to be bottled in 2014 and disgorged in March 2017 with nine grams of dosage. There is good length and tension here as well as sweet cherry aromas in the aftertaste.
SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Oct 31, 2015
Well-cut and firm, with a smoky underpinning and a chalky texture, this shows an open-knit mix of black raspberry, slivered almond, lemon peel and star anise. Enjoy with food. Drink now through 2020. 25,000 cases imported.
WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2007
The deep savor of this wine is built out of lees to hint at fresh almonds and toasted wheat. Bubbles refresh its lusciousness, giving it drive. The mouthwatering white and green fruit tones would work well with pan-roasted brook trout and slivered almonds.
WE8989 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2017
This ripe wine is balanced with some fine bottle aging. That gives both a toasty aroma and some yeasty flavors on the palate. The wine is packed with citrus and crisp white fruits — it’s floral and immediately attractive. Drink this Champagne now.
ST8888 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2005
Pale yellow, with an energetic mousse. High-pitched floral and apple aromas are bright, accented by a refreshing note of mint. Yeasty and toasty in the mouth but ultimately a more delicate style, with fresh, sweet citrus and peach flavors. Finishes on a note of fresh bread, with a bit more weight than recent releases of this cuvée.

A rich and creamy Champagne defined by lively acidity, with anise, pastry cream and salted almond notes, and fruit flavors of baked apricot and lemon curd. Minerally finish. Disgorged December 2019. Drink now through 2023.
VN8989 pts. - Vinous - Dec 2019
This release of the Selection des Belles Années, based on 2013, is brisk and expressive, with an alluring combination of energy and richness. In the glass, the Belles Années is a touch compact, but a bit of bottle age should help. Wonderfully persistent and inviting, the Belles Années has so much to offer. This release is 80% 2013 Gastronome, with 20% reserve wines. Dosage is 5.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: July 19, 2018.

WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2015
The quality of this nonvintage wine from Piper-Hedsieck is a sign of the increasing quality of the range as a whole. It’s a wine that hovers comfortably between freshness and maturity, between a soft dosage and crisp fresh apples. This bottling is ready to drink.
ST8888 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2005
Medium straw. Light gold, with a strong mousse. Smoky, rich and floral on the nose, with suggestions of orange peel, pear and jasmine. Nicely concentrated and moderately weighty, with flavors of lemon cream and buttered toast. Quite long, with the butter and lemon notes resonating.
RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2008
Ripe pears, crisp green apples and flowers emerge from Piper-Heidsieck’s NV Brut Cuvée. This medium-bodied non-vintage Champagne offers excellent persistence and a long, clean finish. It is a very solid effort at this level. The Brut Cuvée is 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 15% Chardonnay. This is lot L070921 12253, disgorged December, 2007. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2010.

Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve

NV / 1.5 L.

Item #: 50791

SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2017
A harmonious Champagne that’s satiny in texture, framing flavors of Asian pear, star fruit, pastry and honey with mouthwatering acidity. Offers a fine and creamy finish. Drink now through 2021.
WS9191 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2013
This blend includes 40 percent pinot meunier, the balance equal parts pinot noir and chardonnay. Its remarkable fruitiness might be tied to the firm’s long, slow, cool fermentations, which, they believe, allow meunier to maintain its perfume. This is a graceful, vinous Champagne with dramatic high notes of roses and red fruit, finishing clean with a grounding of pale earthiness. It’s a lovely prediction of what Champagne might become in a warming climate.
SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2022
Firm and minerally, this well-knit Champagne layers flavors of grainy pear, preserved lemon, toast point and crystallized honey on a creamy mousse. Reveals hints of smoke and saline on the finish. Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Drink now. (Alison Napjus)
WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2015
Beautifully understated, this offers fruit that’s well integrated with the tight texture, giving a seamless, dry while also fruity wine. Just a hint of bottle maturity adds complexity.
ST9090 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2013
Light, bright gold. Fresh red berries, orange zest and white flowers on the perfumed nose. Juicy and precise, offering energetic redcurrant and blood orange flavors that show good concentration and a supple texture. A mineral nuance adds bite to the finish, with the floral note echoing.

Gosset Grand Rosé Brut Champagne

NV / 750 ml.

Item #: 50265

SP9393 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2019
This vibrant rosé is tightly knit and racy, with a floral overtone and flavors of peach skin, white cherry, whole-grain toast and chalky mineral showing finely honed precision as they ride the creamy, detailed mousse. Disgorged May 2018. Drink now through 2024. 600 cases imported.
JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, September 2, 2019
A bright nose of strawberry and pink-grapefruit aromas with hints of blood oranges and berries, as well as almond biscuits. The palate has a super vibrant, fleshy ball of fresh red-fruit flavor and delivers a refreshing, minerally finish. Drink now.
WS9292 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2006
More a wine than a Champagne, this vinous sparkler has a light fragrance of Pinot Noir, a delicate scent of long-stemmed roses and wild strawberries. Luscious and fresh, with a touch of youthful tannin in the end, this is an elegant match for veal sautéed in sage butter.
RP91+91+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Apr 2020
Based on the 2014 vintage, the new release of Gosset’s NV Brut Grand Rosé is still quite tightly wound after its recent disgorgement in November 2019, unwinding in the glass with aromas of orange rind, crisp orchard fruit and warm biscuits. Medium to full-bodied, deep and muscular, it’s bright and chalky, with racy acids and notable phenolic structure, complemented by a pinpoint mousse. It will really begin to show all its cards after a few years on cork.
WE9191 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 6/1/2017
This is a soft Champagne — more like a wine with bubbles than a crisp apéritif. With its relatively high dosage and ripe red fruit, it’s rich up front, cleaning up with acidity on the finish. Keep for a few more months and drink from 2018.

NV / 750 ml.

Item #: 43414

WE9292 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2016
This ripe Champagne is deliciously balanced between the rich white fruits and good acidity. Zingy texture gives it a crisp edge. Full, fruity and with the ability to age, it is ready to drink.
SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2018
Rich hints of toasted brioche and coffee liqueur are layered with black cherry and mandarin orange peel flavors in this creamy Champagne. Fine and satiny on the palate, with lemony acidity refreshing the lingering finish. Disgorged 2018. Drink now through 2021. 4,500 cases imported.
WS9090 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2013
The reserve wines in this blend show in its richness and deep bass notes. It’s a complex Champagne that holds its mature flavors with cleanness and clarity, making it as refreshing as spring water. Scents of green apples and toasty lees add to the firm juiciness. For roast scallops.
RP8686 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2008
Charles Heidsieck is one of Champagne’s historic houses. Charles-Camille Heidsieck was an early pioneer in developing export markets for his wine as far back as 150 years ago. Today, this large estate based in Reims makes wines in an easygoing, pretty style. Charles Heidsieck’s NV Brut Réserve is a fresh, floral wine with attractive pear and apple fruit, and an accessible personality. This is Lot 070792 1227, disgorged in 2007. Taittinger Prestige Rosé

NV / 750 ml.

Item #: 29072

SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2013
A firm, toasty rosé, with roasted hazelnut and smoke notes underscoring kirsch, dried strawberry, piecrust and fresh ginger flavors. This is lip-smacking, softened and balanced by a fine, creamy texture. Drink now through 2023.
JS9292 pts. - JamesSuckling.com - Monday, September 2, 2019
Darker color. Lots of fruit and a creamy texture with cooked apples and cherries and strawberry undertones. Medium to full body. Delicious finish that is dry and fruity. Drink now.
RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Aug 2019
Based on the Brut Reserve, with the addition of red wines largely produced in-house (from sites including Les Riceys), the latest release of Taittinger’s NV Brut Prestige Rosé is showing very well, bursting with aromas of raspberries, red berries, brioche, rose petals and blood orange. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, broad and comparatively textural, with good depth at the core and a chalky, gently phenolic and distinctly sapid finish.
SP9292 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2019
Dried and macerated raspberry and cherry fruit flavors are accented by a thread of aromatic spice, smoke-tinged toasted brioche notes and chalky mineral scents in this fresh and focused rosé, with a fine, satiny mousse. Drink now through 2022. 1,800 cases imported.
RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Dec 2009
The NV Brut Rose Prestige is a beautiful wine. Sweet, perfumed fruit emerges from this crisp, layered Champagne. Ideally the Brut Rose Prestige is best enjoyed as an aperitif as the light to medium-bodied frame is likely to be overwhelmed by food. This is truly a lovely effort for such a large property. Disgorged: end of May 2008, (not indicated on label). Anticipated maturity: 2009–2012.

Pol Roger Brut Réserve Champagne

NV / 750 ml.

Item #: 13953

RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 3rd Mar 2016
Straw yellow and with a golden hue in color, the Pol Roger NV Réserve Brut displays a brilliant, perfectly ripe but also fresh, highly elegant and refined fruit aroma on the nose; think of cooked pip fruits like pears and apples, but also quince-confiture and yellow stone fruits, such as apricots and peaches intermixed with vanilla, brioche (pain aux raisins), some nutty flavors and also some white floral notes. On the palate, this medium-bodied Brut is as round (if not pretty sweet) and fruit-driven as it is delicate, pure and very elegant. The mousse is deliciously fine and leads this charming and perfectly balanced fizz to a long, aromatic, stunningly dry and slightly mineral, impressively long finish. This is extremely well done Champagne from equal parts of Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay sourced in 30 different crus. This Réserve includes 25% of reserve wines and was dosed with nine grams per liter.
SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2018
A well-cut Champagne, with a zesty mousse, this offers a harmonious mix of crème de cassis, Honeycrisp apple, candied ginger and toasty notes, offering a subtle, smoke- and spice-tinged finish. Drink now through 2021. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 110,000 cases made, 12,000 cases imported.
WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2016
This is a well-balanced, ripe wine in the producer’s rich house style. A brighter, more mineral crispness and acidity also come through strongly in this bottling. The aftertaste brings together a mineral texture and full yellow and apple fruits. Drink now.
WS8888 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 31, 2009
Bright white chalk and yellow fruit scents contrast darker tones of root vegetables and earth. This is clean and dry, with minerality that lasts. The acidity makes it a refreshing match for tempura.

Laurent-Perrier Brut L-P

NV / 750 ml.

Item #: 57776

SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 15, 2011
Refined, with a sweet, smoky undercurrent to the flavors of glazed pear, candied lemon zest and golden raisin, with a hint of marzipan. Racy acidity frames — but doesn’t dominate — the wine, with a spicy note lingering on the finish. Best from 2012 through 2016. 12,000 cases imported.
ST9090 pts. - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar - Nov/Dec 2002
Fairly pale color. Complex, soil-inflected, smoky nose combines pineapple, peach, apricot, rose petal, cinnamon and mace; reminded me of Condrieu. Fresh and ripe in the mouth, with impressively intense flavors of fruits and spices. Finishes strong and spicy, with a late note of pink peppercorn.
WE9090 pts. - Wine Enthusiast - 12/1/2014
Fresh and crisp, this is bright with acidity as well as warmer fruitiness. It brings out the dry Laurent-Perrier style, balanced by soft creamed apples and fragrant acidity. Light and fruity at the end, it is ready to drink.
WS8787 pts. - Wine & Spirits - December 1, 2006
The spicy cologne of sapwood and the sweetness of caramel show the oak influence in the Chardonnay-dominated wine. It’s soft and buttery-rich, for seared salmon.

Champagne H. Billiot Fils Brut Rosé

Grand Cru
NV / 750 ml.

Item #: 29013

RP9292 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 21st Dec 2008
Billiot’s NV Brut Rose is essentially the same blend as the NV Brut Reserve, 2005 (50%), 2004 (25%) and 2003 (25%), but with the addition of 2002 still Pinot. There is awesome purity and silkiness in a style that artfully balances structure with finesse. A wine of precision and clarity, this Champagne delivers tons of Pinot character with chalky, mineral notes that float on the finish. In a world overrun by oceans of mediocre roses, Billiot’s NV Brut Rose stands apart as a wine of rare pedigree. Simply put, this is compelling juice. This bottle was disgorged on June 24, 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2008–2012.
SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - Nov 30, 2007
This pale rosé offers complex aromas and flavors of dried berry, dried citrus and spice notes, all married to a firm structure and a refined texture. Less fruity than some rosés, yet very harmonious and inviting. Drink now through 2010.

Champagne. The word alone elicits thoughts of luxury, grandeur and poise. Located in northern France, Champagne is one of the northernmost wine-producing regions in the world. This tasty, bubbly beverage is made with varying percentages of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier… if you see a bottle labeled “Blanc de Blanc” it is made from 100% Chardonnay while “Blanc de Noir” is made from only Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

Famous Champagne houses such as Krug, Veuve Clicquot, Ponsardin, Bollinger, Louis Roederer, Tattinger, and Moët & Chandon have been refining their craft for over 100 years (200+ in some cases!). The highest examples of Champagne know no equal and thus, have been legally protected. With only the rarest of exceptions, no bottle of sparkling wine produced outside the Champagne region can have the word “Champagne” printed on its label.
