"Healthy dark red-ruby. Much less extreme on the nose than the CVR blend, showing captivating floral lift to the aromas of cassis, blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate and licorice. Broad, deep and slightly exotic, with its strong dark berry flavors complicated by notes of Cuban cigar leaf and minerals and Franc-driven floral character. Finishes with terrific energy and lift. For the second straight vintage, this Merlot-dominated wine is a huge success." (93 pts.)
