Haskell Anvil

2012 / 750 ml.

Item #: 41271

RP9191 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 30th Oct 2014
The 2012 Anvil Chardonnay is 100% Chardonnay, whole-berry pressed and raised in 228-liter French oak barrels. The nose is open and inviting with subtle brioche and hazelnut scents infusing the citrus fruit that is well-defined. The palate is well-balanced, quite understated on the entry, with precise acidity and a conservative, easy-going honeycomb-tinged finish that just slips down the throat without making too much fuss. Very fine.

Uva Mira The Dance Cabernet Franc

2016 / 750 ml.

Item #: 51017

RP8888 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2019
The 2016 The Dance Cabernet Franc has a perfumed nose with light red fruit tones, moving to subtle red pepper with smoky oak aromas layered in toward the back. The palate is still rigid, and the red fruits turn more tart across the mid-palate. Creeping tannins rise up on the finish, which will mellow with a few years of aging. The structure is solid and the wine will drink better in coming years.

Uva Mira O.T.V.

2016 / 750 ml.

Item #: 51018

RP91+91+ pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 31st Oct 2019
A blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in 70% new oak, the 2016 O.T.V. has a nose with dark-berried fruits and considerable oak influences that vie for your attention over the bouquet of red flowers. The fruit is tarter on the palate, still youthfully tight but with precision and a good structure meant for longevity. The finish is grippy with red and dark fruit balancing the oak and lingers with a soft note of graphite and cedar. It’s a stunner of a wine, just give it time to settle.

RP8686 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 9th Jun 2022
Plummy, juicy and round, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon begins with almost sappy fruits and a hint of leather and turned earth. Medium-bodied, the palate is balanced, has a straightforward frame and is easy to drink. It ends with an uncomplicated finish. (Anthony Mueller)

SP9191 pts. - Wine Spectator - May 31, 2023
Creamy and finely knit, with vibrant acidity buoying flavors of ripe melon, pink grapefruit granita, grated ginger and blanched almond. The salty underpinning and a pretty floral note echo on the finish. Drink now through 2026. 20,000 cases made, 3,500 cases imported. (Alison Napjus)
RP9090 pts. - Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate - 29th Dec 2023
Starting with a crisp, clean and mineral-driven nose of lemon skin and bright citrus aromas, the 2022 Limestone Hill Chardonnay is fresh and vibrant. Medium-bodied, the palate offers a pure, clean, energetic mouthfeel with crisp acidity before ending with a balanced, mineral-laced finish that brings me back for another sip. (Anthony Mueller)

Instantly pleasurable in the glass, the 2021 Chardonnay is fresh with yellow fruit essences that sway with a crystalline purity. Medium-bodied, the wine is complex with bright, energetic acidity that unwinds over the long, lingering, food-friendly finish. This Chardonnay is a masterclass in possessing power and elegance.
