Where It's From

Region / Oregon

View more wines from Oregon

When people think of Oregon, they think of Pinot Noir. And rightfully so! The region has been producing some of the finest Pinot Noirs in the world for decades now. The region's cool climate produced by the cooling nature of the Pacific Ocean also lends itself to other grapes such as Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. It's made up of several subregions, the most important and well-known being the Willamette Valley. Great wines are also coming from the Rogue Valley, Walla Walla, and Columbia Valley.

Country / United States

View more wines from United States

The United States now ranks fourth in the world in wine production behind, France, Italy, and Spain. While about 90% of that wine is produced in California, other states like Oregon, New York, and Washington are establishing themselves as prime spots for wine production, as well. Just about any variety of wine can be found in production somewhere in the United States.

This lighter-bodied, ethereal take on Pinot Gris has highly floral aromas of gardenias and lemon-scented Sweet Bay magnolia flowrs, followed by notes of cantaloupe and lime zest. Honeydew melon, orange sorbet and pistachio flavors abound. A clean, crisp texture with nice acidity. (Michael Alberty)

Pretty classic 100% stainless-steel Willamette Valley Pinot Gris that aged sur lie for four months. Aromas of watermelon drizzled with sea salt, rosemary and pine needles lead to flavors of lime, Marcona almonds and lemony Citra hops. Brisk acidity and a crisp mouthfeel. (Michael Alberty)
SP8888 pts. - Wine Spectator - Dec 15, 2023
Crisp yet luscious, with easygoing yet floral lemongrass and melon flavors. Drink now. 115,000 cases made. (Tim Fish)
VN8888 pts. - Vinous - Jan 2024
The 2022 Pinot Gris is nuanced in the glass, with hints of crushed apple and chamomile forming its bouquet. Round textures and orchard fruits soothe, taking on a touch of tropical melon toward the close. It finishes fresh, leaving a tactile mineral tinge and slowly fading sweet spice. (Eric Guido)
